Are we talking about the inside or outside of the tank? I use warm water on the inside and if I'm cleaning pesky water marks I use lemon juice or vinegar. I would never use Windex for the inside glass but I have used it for the outside.

Pretty much what I do... i've used windex on the inside, but only before the herp was in it, and washed the tank out a lot with water before anything went in :)

what cant you get off with water and a bit of elbow grease. If watermarks are your problem use some vinegar.

bleach water and and alcohol solutions. wipe, let is sit for a few minutes, then rinse twice and towel dry. leaves everything crisp and shiny and I have never had an adverse reaction with the animals.

I use something called Aquarium Polish that came free with some tank stuff. It seems to be pretty much windex. I spray it onto a paper towel in another room to keep the mist away from the tank and walk quickly to the tank to wipe it. So far so good.
