Heard its bad to use live feeders too much so i want to go and get some floating sticks! Any recommendations!?

To be honest none of our gars or garfish will eat any pellets. We feed whitebait, prawn, cockle and mussel chopped, shredded or whole depending on the size.

All the gars that I kept over the years would eat Hikari carnivore sticks.
channa, pikes, piranha, stingrays, bichirs and wolf fish all ate the stuff.
IMO the best pellet you can get.

try frozen packaged fish if you are woried about disease. whole fish not just fillets. you can also stuff them with good stuff after thawing like cyclopeyes

"Azoo" has the "9 in 1 Arowana Sticks".

The jar says: for all arowana and large carnivorous fish.

You may also try their dried Krill.

My aros seems to like both.

I use a great variety of prepared foods including the Hakari and Azoo aro foods
all are well taken. A staple food though is Tetra Jumbomin. this food works very well with trained fish, not so good for those that do not take the food instantly though.

I have personally found a wide variety of foods to be taken with little or no issue once a fish recognizes it as a food item.

Right. Once they accept the idea of pellets they're not all that picky. The jumbomins are good if they're used to them, but tend to disintegrate if left uneaten very long. Hikari food sticks excel, but most good cichlid pellets are taken as well. Trick is to get them to accept them at all. Once you've done that, no probs.
