What is the Most Aggressive Aquarium Salt Water Fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
agreed, i had an undulatus trigger straight from hell. chomped through a much larger black volitan and ate clean through a brown banded bamboo shark. The thing was also pretty much indestructible. Once adjusted, true barraccuda are pretty intimidating in a tank as well.

I had an Undulated once. One day he must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed because he almost wiped out my entire tank. He cost me alittle over $100 in one night! The only survivor was a stupid blue damsel. Why is it the cheap fish always are the last to go?

As far as aggression goes inch for inch I'd say the Undy is the most aggressive fish for saltwater. The Queen, Clown, and Titan get alot bigger though.

Have you guys seen this guys site? Talk about some aggression.

There is a pic in there of his Bumblebee Grouper eating his Tessalata eel!

But i had a good time looking through them all. That guy has a lot of expensive fish! And has lost quite a few also due to aggression. Nice set up though.

yes bro.. the royal grammas.. mean suckers.. Angler is 100% reef safe as long as you dont have any thing that will fit in its mouth..

I would say my Dragon eel is pretty mean.. bit me twice and left some serious teeth marks... besides that.. i couldnt stop the bleeding for 30 minutes .. T_T

New to the forum. Can you mix two of the same species. Say if you wanted 2 Dragons or two triggers if tank was large enough?

large enough as in 300 or 300,000?

besides eberyone and their mums knows that the black velvet neon damsel is the worse......:D

but seriously garabaldi are pretty bad.

yeah - Blacktip Reefs tend to be wimps among sharks.

The most aggressive "aquarium" Sharks is the Bull Shark. Granted I'm talking Public Aquariums - not home aquaria.

I go Tiger > Bull > Mako as far as the top three sharks I don't want to swim with. Yes, I'd rather swim with a great white...
