What is the smallest shark?

Ok so my wife has been asking me for some time now to keep a shark in a tank, but I don't want to get into the trouble of finding a place to get rid of it after when it grows too big. So I was wondering if there is some type of dwarf sharks out there that don't grow pass 15" or 20"? And if there isn't what would be the smallest shark?
And also if it is possible it should look like a real shark cuz I showed her the banded cat shark and she didn't like it.

Smallest one I know of is Hasselt’s Bamboo Shark (Chiloscyllium hasseltii), needs a min of 180 gallons, grows to around 2' http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+41+3115&pcatid=3115, but I'm no expert in this particular area, I only know about it because I like to look at the random fish on live aquaria haha.

Looks cool and the size is not bad. but she wants smth that looks like a regular shark not a cat shark. I think that we'll have to forget about this idea

yep, as far as i know there are no small "classic" sharks (other then ones like this).

those are black tips , god i wouldn't put one of those in anything other then 10,000 gallons...

a smooth hound would be the closest without getting colossal. people do all sorts of stuff for sharks. it all comes down to how big your system is and if there is enough room for the shark to swim and if you have enough filtration to keep him swimming for more than a few weeks.

oh an blacktips are definetly a bad idea i know you can house a baby blacktip in a 300 gallon system for a month or so but thats about it.
