What types of dollars are these. Each looks different, and best I can think of/is argentus.

My opinion (I don't claim to an expert, but I try to base my opinion on Ota's (2015) revision of the genus Metynnis).

1st - A female, which could be M. maculatus. An additional lateral picture, showing the fish flat showing the profile of the forehead may help in being more certain. (Current picture does not show the forehead laterally)

2nd - A female M. hypsauchen.

3rd - (again, not a flat lateral picture, not showing well the forehead, nor the anal fin, both of which would be needed to be more certain).
It appears to be a young male, which could be M. maculatus (but I don't think so as it is not spotted), but could also be M. altidorsalis. Again a flat picture would help.

Note that M. argenteus Ahl is not a currently accepted name within Metynnis. That name is now (mainly) under the synonymy of M. altidorsalis, but has also been used with misidentified fish of several species in the genus.

Ok, thanks, I’ll try to get better pics. These all are actually a few years old at this point. The bottom one used to have a sharp red anal fin like the rest, but it disappeared after a year or so.

Now you are tricking us by changing the order of your fish.

The 1st picture now is the same fish as the 3rd picture before. I continue to think it is a young M. altidorsalis. The picture is good and flat. Unfortunately the colors of the background and of the anal fin are about the same, such that it is hard to make out the actual shape of the anal fin. It could be a young male, but it could be a female. If I am correct, it could end up looking as the picture below of my male.

The 2nd picture now is the same fish as your 1st picture before. I continue to think it may be a young female M. maculatus. The picture is good and clear and no excuses are possible. Her shape is unusual, however, similar to a female fish I have (photo composition attached), which I have been unsure of what species to consider her. I go back and forth thinking it is M, maculatus, but then questioning myself when comparing her to my other female, which I fully believe is M. maculatus. I believe the shape and coloration of your fish is very similar to mine, but I am unsure of what name to use.

One question: Did you buy these 2 fish together? (same time, from same tank). My guess is not.

Very nice fish, thanks for sharing!

Thank you!
The round one (first pic in my recent post) definitely looks like your first pic when in breeding dress. That matches the anal fin shape.
Second one also looks very similar, but there is less arching.
The hypsauchen I got separately, but the other two were together. All are assorted petsmart silver dollars. Youngest is 3 years old, older two are 4 (roughly).

I think the first pic didn't attach correctly? (it remains small when clicked on).
Let's try again, or another picture.
