I know I recently posted a thread titled A Leopard Gecko in a 50 gal tank. Yes I am planning to get a single male Leopard Gecko for my 50 gal tank, but I am just very interested to know, if you have a 50 gal tank, what would be the perfect lizard that you would get for yourself?:)

Thank you for your time!

A bearded dragon.

Any lizard under 18" would do fine.

I would put 12 Microgeckos (Stenodactylus sp.) or less in there or a Centralian Blue-Tongued Skink (Tiliqua mustifaciata) or Shingleback Blue-Tongued Skink (T. rugosa). Any other BTS would be too big to stay in it for life. Too bad they are really expensive though.

What are the dimensions of a 50? Is it more like a 40 or a 55? Because it would depend...

Personally I like ameivas but if it's not a really wide footprint it will be too small. Might be anyway, they're pretty active.
