I caught this little crayfish the other day in a net and he is now in a 20 gallon with a bluegill and green sunfish, he has been eating flakes off the bottom, but is there anything else i should feed him?
crays are scavengers in the wild, so there is little he probably won't eat. algae wafers, silversides, or even live feeders would be fine. If you have access to them, just get some mosquito fish
Like said, they will eat anything.
But i have had better growth, colors and better activity out of crays when I feed mostly algae wafers (plant as opposed to animal matter). I will mix in the occasional sinking carnivore pellets to change it up, and of course they eat any uneaten worms, flakes, etc.
