I have four 5" female Wild Caught Trimacs and a pair of breeding Cons in a 90 gallon (Grow out tank only)... Just this afternoon the dominant Trimac chased the other 3 into caves... then raided the Cons next and feasted on eggs...
It wasn't an easy task but she ate the whole brood and I only see one nip in her fins... The male Con took a couple good hits...
This took about 30~40 minutes and as soon as the last eggs was eaten al the fish went right back to normal... Cons and Trimacs begging for food side by side...
If my neighbor ate my child I think I would have to hold a grudge for at least a couple days...
But anyway… or OP was saying he was going to add the FH and Con to a 170 Gal… even if it was a pair of Cons I’m pretty sure the FM would find enough room to stay out of their way…
