Whic part, the cord gripper? Check post #11
Ah NM... I fuigured it out. but thank you for responding. mouser has online ordering. Mine are on the way...
So I ordered 2 of them as I have a 200w Marineland (non stealth) heater that is 5/8" diameter and a 300w topfin that is just at about 1" maybe a 1/32" under...
I picked up the parts that I will need (may have to get 2 more to match the threads of the WTCG's to the Top of the heating compartments and some brackets to anchor them to the inside of the stands frame.... I was also considering getting some type of quick disconnect valves fro cleaning purposes...
here are the parts so far. The WTCG's are ordered and should be on their way tomorrow and will get here mid next week. I had to go with a little different desihn being that I didn't want to restrict the flow of the FX5 outputs and home depot doesn't carry "every size" that anyone would need according to their application...
but I'm sure that it will work out great! if anyone has any info or reason (by way of experience or facts) that would prove otherwise... Please feel free to inform me as the most important thing is the Health and wellness of my Fish!
I will be cutting the Pipe to size and also using short cuts in between the grey flexible reducers and the 90's/ curved T's as this was the best and least expensive combo that would fit and not reduce flow of the outputs of the FX5's....
I will post more pics once I get the WTCG's and their fittings and start assembling the units. This should turn out pretty nice.
I was also thinking of Adding some type of viewing window in the pipes by cutting out about a 1/2" hole right at the point of where the operation indicator light are on the heaters themselves. I wanted them to line up with the windows for ease of mind, knowing whether they are on or off.
My question for this is whether or not I could cut this hole and seal a thin piece of clear plastic over the hole from the inside with the worry of that piece coming off?
Ayone feel confident enough to confirm whether this would work and what type or process I might need to make it happen!?
Thanks!
