Yey bay bay
when I look at the pics of midges/blood worms and red mosquito larvae, it does look very similar. Can they hurt the polys? I don't like having them in the tank.

hmmm that's a possibility and a pretty good idea :). I don't want to put them in the 55g until the poly's don't have ich. maybe I could put them in a bucket with the airstone and empty the QT and disinfect it. bleach the gravel or take it out and bleach everything? could be worth a try? Then put them back in the QT and try again?

what do you guys think?
Sound like a plan.

Glad this is trending in the right direction.

Never seen worms from a poly before.

didnt this polys came from wetspot? cause i know they qt the fish first before selling it.
Thats the thing abiut qt'ing u never really know what to treat for. Parasite treatments are all i do but they wouldnt be effective with worms for that.you'd need a dewormer

Agree- just posted this in the other thread. Woot!

It looks segmented to me. This dude has a camallanus worm pic (looks like a bloodworm, smooth) next to a midge one which is segmented like yours!

Thanks Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 , Thats a great plan. Appreciate you trying to help and always checking on my polys. I'll try doing a deep clean today!
Want to get all of these worms gone.

Thank you magpie magpie and Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 , J jaws7777 for helping with the research and pulling up pics. Jaws really appreciate you for rallying the troops!

Thank you kno4te kno4te , tlindsey tlindsey and twentyleagues twentyleagues for the opinions on thinking it is mosquito larvae. Really appreciate kno4te kno4te for helping guide me through this ich mess. Thanks@twentyleagues for the amazon link.

You guys/gals are the best. It makes me feel very grateful for support from poly friends and less stressed as a fish owner. Would have typed more, but didn't want it to be too long lol

Hoping we can get some ID confirmation soon. Then that way we can figure out a treatment plan!

All the midges appear to be gone/eaten!!!!!
Woo! Thanks everyone for helping me problem solve, ID and guiding me on how to get rid of them.

The ich appears to be beginning to clear up as well!!!! Moke still has a lot of spots. But will be patient and do the full 10days as suggested. Hoping they make a full turn around :)
