imo, a tree stump like that doesn't realli that good in the tank (expect if u r doing a plant tank w/tiny fishes). and plus it takes up a lot of space for ur aro or wut not

Nice, I normally just throw driftwood in my tanks and forget about it. Scrub them first of course, but not much than that.

BTW...its very....stumpy! lol. You should drill a hole in it and stick a powerhead in there. That would be cool.

a cool thing would be hollow it out but then i would have to soak it again.lol

..... that stump you got there is completely different from mines,,, obviously yours is from a diff, tree.... and for some reason it has a shine... looks like some kind of sealant on it?? mines was a root stump.... already in watr when i got it...
as far as your water turning amber... it will always do it because of the wood... but its also a good thing though... REASON: it softens your water!

theres no sealant or anything on it.
also water hasnt changed yet.

not even a hint of it in the tank yet.
