The dumbest still got to be the guppies I had. They ate each others, then the last one alive cannibalized himself, even though there are frys and bloodworms for them.

That had to be an interesting sight.

I'd vote for guppies or neons. I think my apple snail is smarter.

Really? I didn't vote for apple snails because they're not fish but they'd have to get my vote for stupidest invert.
I had about 300 or so, 3 species. Every single one of them committed suicide. How is it that you can unstick a snail from the filters intake, drop it on the furthest end of the tank, near ample food and cover and it will still make a b-line for the filter's intake? It got so ridiculous I just gave up on apple snails altogether and let them all have fun with their beloved filter intakes. I wasn't about to snail snail-proof that many tanks just for some retarded snails. :wall:

Eh, I don't blame the snails for going into the filters... good stuff for them to eat there.

Hmmm, I had put about 2 bucks worth of guppies in my 30 gallon gold spilo tank, and there was 1 pregnant female, and this went on for 2 years. Goldfish has to have very little intelligence compared to most fish. I would also say oscars are very dumb. I found a 12" oscar no one wanted for 5 bucks, so I threw it in my 100 gallon with a solo barca (IDK new name) snakehead. Carefully watched them from my couch and noticed the snakehead investigate the oscar and then swim back to his spot. The oscar meanwhile is adjusting to the tank by swimming around and finding the barca. The oscar flared it's gills and then turned sideways (to look bigger?) and kept doing this, the barca gave a warning snap, which took some scales. Oscar flees, but returns once again, flares its gills and turns sideways. The snakehead burts out of his spot and smashes into the oscar knocking all his scales off of one side, and then leaving his tail a bloody stump. I threw the oscar in the rhom tank for a quick death, since the barca had no intention of eating the oscar.
