That had to be an interesting sight.

Goldfish has to have very little intelligence compared to most fish. I would also say oscars are very dumb. I found a 12" oscar no one wanted for 5 bucks, so I threw it in my 100 gallon with a solo barca (IDK new name) snakehead. Carefully watched them from my couch and noticed the snakehead investigate the oscar and then swim back to his spot. The oscar meanwhile is adjusting to the tank by swimming around and finding the barca. The oscar flared it's gills and then turned sideways (to look bigger?) and kept doing this, the barca gave a warning snap, which took some scales. Oscar flees, but returns once again, flares its gills and turns sideways. The snakehead burts out of his spot and smashes into the oscar knocking all his scales off of one side, and then leaving his tail a bloody stump. I threw the oscar in the rhom tank for a quick death, since the barca had no intention of eating the oscar.
