What's the most aggressive nonvenomous snake?

To answer your question: Colombian (NOT BRAZILIAN) Rainbow boas, Fords boas, & Macklot's pythons are more agressive than the snakes you mentioned. That being said you should still get a mentor. Handling aggressive snakes will help you but it should not be the only preparation that you do.

DO NOT GET A MANGROVE AS A FIRST HOT! I have been keeping venomous for a few years now and I had some adult mangroves dumped on me and they were more of a handful than my fastest cobras. A bite from ANY venomous snake should be treated as a medical emergency. There is no "starter hot" but if there was- Boiga would not be it.

A photo of one of my mangroves- a 6 foot snake with an 8 foot strike range.

That is a good looking snake.

Thinking back to the original post. Why not start with the gaboon viper. Sure they got some serious fangs but they are so fat and slow a toddler could handle them.

This is one of the biggest false statements I have ever read in this forum

Bitis are lightning quick, very very dangerous snakes!!

Guys you are discussing some serious , with possible lethal risks involved, issues, that beyond that were not the objective of tho OP, who wants advice on non hots.

i will leave the above post as a demonstration of the danger of relying on internet advice and as an example of, again, of the biggest mistakes I have read in a forum.

We are not discussing Pirnahas, nor pit bulls. We are talking a completely different level, with compeltely different possible consequences.

Any more reference to hots as an advice to the OP will result in action.
