 mmmm...fun... Reminds me much why I've always liked you Koltsix..
Carry on with the good part of this discussion... Very interesting in many ways..

Lol! Thanx bro, your pretty cool in your own right and you can take that as a real compliment I mean look who it's coming from.lol! I am after all the coolest guy I know. :D Don't tell me you read through this whole thread though? Cause I personally couldn't do it coming in now.lol! I'm actually enjoying the theories being put out there. I just like an explanation so I can see if I see the logic in it and infer my own conclusions. I'm still hoping the discussion will go on and maybe start moving into other Dino's or even Megalodon Cacharodon by far my favorite fish. Sharks are uber cool seeing as they're one of the few animals that have essentially remained unchanged since they first appeared. I think it's wicked cool that they're essentially such a perfect predator that nature didn't see the need to really change them.

Hey kolt I saw that darius said yur mail is full i hope you got my last pm cause it took me a while to type it, haha. I hope you like novels.

I'd say if you really want to blow your mind forget this Spinosaur thingy and if it had a crest or sail or lump...(Sample size is so ridiculous that speculation is Law at this point) and look at Pterosaurs...There is where things get dang weird and interesting things really begin to show..

Lol! I got it and will definitely respond when I've got time to respond with a novel in kind back. :D Darius left me a visitors message about my pm box being full so I emptied it. I actually would've gotten around back to this thread earlier but one of my friends was really talking my ear off, she went on for an hour and a half.lol! Then again you know what they say birds of a feather and as you know I'm quite long winded too.lol!

I'm not too familiar with Pterosaurs, but would be glad to start discussing something about them if they're as interesting as you say bro. So by all means start it off, what kind of new developments and conjecture is flying around(pun intendedlol!) on the Pterosaur side of things. I'll gladly do the best I can to educate myself quickly so I can provide a good discussion partner. I absorb things at a ridiculous rate if they spark my interest. So let's have a go.

You mean like the headcrest of nyctosaurus?
In context of the original discussion that would be a good place to start. Reconstructions of this genus show quite a variety of interpretations of just what that crest may have looked like. many of the others also are fairly ambiguous as to just what they fed upon given tooth structure (or lack of) or the particular advantages of having the varied "crests" that some possess.

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approach'd the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, -"Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he,
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Then, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

MORAL.

So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!
