Zoo I am almost certain that clarius cats are illegal in the USA. They have taken a foot in florida and there are reports of people seeing them walking across the roads on rainy nights! I wish I could see one walking across the roads here I would do the environment a favor and keep it for myself! ;)

Also Clarias are not only banned in a number of countries with a tropical climate but extends into a number of non-tropical zones including some of the European mainland for example, it is against the law to keep such a fish in Germany. But in the UK is fine i have had a few and have had the one i have now for about 3 years

A few years ago I had 2 Tiger Shovelnose cats. I bought them at about 4" each and quickly reached 2 feet. I would do regular water changes and would do the maintence like clockwork but, for an unknown reason I lost both of them within a few days of each other. These fish are very nocturnal. They look amazing when they're small but, are voracious eaters and not to be kept with anything that will fit in their mouth.

I have a 18" red tail catfish that was kept in a 40 gallon tank by a horrible fish store. I had to rescue him and brought him home right away and plopped him in my 100 gallon tank. Though now even that tank is much too small for him and I need to find a way to get a 300 gallon tank for a good price..I fell in love with my catfish and would hate to give him away when I just brought him back to health.. (lots of jumbo shrimp:) )

What is the best way to get a good tank for an afforable price.

cattle trough or homeade pond. Costed me $150 for a 6ft dia 350 gal cattle trough and my fish have been in it a year now. My rtc x tsn is now 30 inches. I'll be moving soon, and I am thinking before next summer gets around I am upgrading to a 8 ft dia 700 gal pond. costs like $250, I will make a filter from my small pond which I am replacing with an aquarium.
