Ok, so currently the pond is quite stable at ph 7.4, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite although the nitrates are still high at anywhere between 40 and 80.
A water change today should help bring them down some.
The water has remained quite cloudy although I am unsure if that is due to increased light from not having the decked area or the shear number of pure pond bombs I have put in to get the filter up to speed.
Either way I have added another decked area and the cloudiness is definitely reducing.
The fish also seem more settled with the extra shade.
Talking of which…….. the remaining occupants over 12” are:-
Tiger shovelnose rescue- 20”
Black shark - 26”
Lima shovelnose - 18”
Marmoratus cat - 24”
Hemibagrus Variegatus - 18”
Three gibiceps plecs.
So any plan to add smaller tank mates will mean not too small!
I will be adding my 20” arrowana at some point, my 6 lemon barbs.
Suffice to say that I am keeping in the hobby and keeping the pond going. Although may add a few other of my smaller monsters from six foot tanks. To move smaller fish into six foot tanks.
