I'm thinking about picking up this 55g, stand, and accessories for $60. However, the tank itself needs some work. I was told that one of the seams leak in addition to the center brace being broken.

I was thinking about resealing it with some GE I silicone and replacing the frame. However, I'm having some trouble finding replacement frames. I would prefer the oak color (like this). Also, I would like for the frames to have the center brace. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Build your own out of wood. It will be like a million times stronger anyways. Just make sure you seal it. I don't think they make replacement frames for all manufacturers anyways.

Is there a thread on here on how to do that? I can't seem to find one on tank frames....

I've bought from this site before, http://cciaquarium.com/contact.html. I think he said he would ship to anyone. I bought glass top hinge from them too, much cheaper to buy glass cut to size then add the hinge.

I'm still looking for somewhere to purchase oak-colored replacement frames for a 55 gallon aquarium (with a center brace, please). Anyone know where I can get them?

If your local LFS sells the same brand name tanks, they should be able to special order a frame for you.
