Which geophagus should I try?

I'm considering altifrons, since they're easy to get I'll probably wind up with them. I have kept Heckelli in the past, great fish but looking for something new.
If you want the nicest or the nice and are willing to pay the price, get sveni. Unreal geophagus. I'm getting some in June from a wild pair spawn

I'd really like to get argyrostictus but the only place I saw them had them for $100, that's a bit more than I'd like to spend considering I'd want 5-7 of them. Hopefully there's good stuff out there this summer when the wife is home for 10 weeks to take delivery.

brasiliensis aren't true geos; they'll likely get their own genus some day. The males are large-growing and fairly aggressive, more like CA cichlids than geos. They do not shoal together, they'd more likely try to murder each other if you raised a group to spawning size.

That was my experience with the iporangensis, definitely want something more in line with the traditional geos.
