WHICH IS THE BIGGEST/MOST COLORFUL CICHLID?!?! Or should I just buy a FH?

I'm looking to purchase a Large made Chiclid that is very coloful to be the "Show piece" male of the tank? What are you opinions as to which Cichlid is the biggest and most colorful. Post pics if you have them!!

Also would I be able to house him with other Cichlids? I really hope so because I dont want a 220 Gallon tank with one freaking fish! lol.. (I dont want tiny fish, or non colorful fish either).. I'm probably not going to be able to "have my cake and eat it too but I'll give it a try"! lol
 
Yeah I agree the Vieja Synspila are great looking fish. FH are best described as like a "death machine" there seems to be very little that they don't seem to terrorize. Not saying that you can't put a FH with other fish and have it be successful because every tank is different but from what you sound like you want, the Vieja Synspila is more up your route.
 
When it comes to biggest , and colorful that will not destroy each other.

Peacock bass !!!

I would say Umbee , but that is a very agressive cichlid that will destroy tankmates.
