Once i got a very nice looking texas jaguar hybrid (they are awsome!!) at about 8". Suprisingly, very mellow, especially for parantege. A 3-4" male convict, less than half the things size, gets mad at the new tankmate, and the little convict flares a few gills, goes to the opposite end of the, tank swims at full speep, and rams the tex/jag right in the stomache, knocked it back quite a ways too! they bouth were amazing cichlids, the con, for his "muscle" and the jag/tex, for its looks. I had to get rid of the hybrid, because it fought with my 6" parrot. now im thinking i choose the wrong one to get rid of

ill have to say Tica, my red devil, so far. he gets a good diet. frozen brine, nightcrawlers, a feeder maybe once a week. and he love his algae waffers. lol. he meets me at the top every morning for one. he's like a puppy. he has also made me bleed once and he wouldnt let go. now he has teeth. lol

I don't think soooo LOL I have a trimac and Red Devil in a 150 gallon together, both are same size and the Red Devil doesn't even stand a chance. He is always on the receiving end of the beating and has learned many lessons the hard way and now stays out of the Trimacs way. Although sometimes even when the Red Devil minds his own business the Trimac just kicks back into psyco killer mode again, and tries to chase the Red Devil all day.

These are pics of two of my FH's, Debo and Godzilla. Debo was so aggressive that he had to be put in a tank by himself. He was about 13", I sold him to a pet store for $100. My breeder is Godzilla, and he bites everytime I try to siphon the gravel. I usually catch him and put him in a bucket or cooler just so I can clean his tank.

The LFS I worked at took in a Queen Trigger that was the most ferocious fish i've ever seen in my life (I worked in pet shops for 12 years and ran my own Aquarium maint company so i've seen alot). Sorry no pics because this happened aprox 1987-88.
The fish was 12"-14" and pretty much destroyed a 150 gallon tank. We couldn't put ANYTHING in the tank because she would attack and kill it: Filters, heaters, drain tubes, substrate-this fish chewed it all up. We used to take an aquarium sponge and wire it to a broom stick just to wipe the algae away. The sponge would be gone within minutes and the broom stick had chunks taken out of it. CHILDREN WERE AFRAID OF THIS FISH! They wouldn't walk to the end of the aisle out of fear!
One day the bosses son was working on the central system behind the Trigger's tank (The main lines came through the back room wall right behind the tank) and BIT OFF HIS PINKY RIGHT UP TO THE FIRST KNUCKLE. It actually took the usual trigger nibbles-not just one bite like other fish. Best part? The fish chewed and swallowed his finger. She didn't even spit it out. Off to the emergencey room we go!
We ended up selling the Trigger after housing her for 6-8 months.
I swear all of this is true and i've never encountered a meaner, nastier fish.

wow! what a triger devil. I never know Triger fish can be that aggressive, most of them I seen in lfs were peaceful thought.
