yeah good choice but bare bottom ftw!
Got bare bottom in my goldie tank and I love it, just think the rays might appreciate substrate a bit more and would complete the aquascape. Get some more natural behaviour too.
yeah I’d say something like that, I’d like to try a few hardy plants along the back as well if they survive.

picked up a tank today for a grow out, it’s 150cm long, 80cm wide and 60cm tall. Should be a nice size I think. Will start a tank thread ASAP. Originally was going the fibreglass tank route and may do that eventually but this tank was a steal and had a nice stand too. Should make a great peninsula setup.

tank size is good enough for grow out. the bigger the better of course, for the body development.
yeah definitely, couldn’t pass on it as it was free! Came with a huge eheim external too. Super excited to get it all up and running
