Who is the ALPHA fish of your tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a 4 inch threespot petsmart/lg flowerhorn...how random. Used to be scared of everything and then one day just established dominance, even over the 10 inch oscar.
In another tank a gold gourami, even though hes in with 2 oscars, a shortnose gar, a pike chiclid, and a jaguar, all of which are triple his size.

poor goldfish.....put them in your sig.!:swear:

goldfish are monsters too!:)

Now, I don't put the fish I keep in my sig, I get new ones every day, I'd have to update it too much.

Yes I know, I used to keep them as pets, and not for feed. At one point I had a 14'' shubunkin. However, while on a vacation, they(there were 3. Actually, 4, but i gave one to a friend to put in his pond) got ich and died while I was gone:irked:

55 gallon tank is a 4 inch Oscar over even the 7 inch needlefish

Mine is an 8.5" Tiger Oscar

Mah dominant GT :headbang2

Not the biggest fish in the tank, but definitely the most assertive. More power to him. :D

He's about 6.5"

With the bichirs, it's tough to say. Between the big endli, or the big polli. They both get the lions share of the food since they're always the fattest, but the polli truly does hoover it in, and bashes her way though bichir piles that sit between her and food.

She's about 10.5-11", the endli is about 11"

My 9" GT male.Unbelievably he even holds back my 15"Jag and 13" RD.He never seems to do damage to anyone but never backs down at the same time. You can see him pushing back the Jag in the vid in my sig.

In my 125 my 14 inch Blue Channel Cat is the true ruler over my 5 inch Midas and 5 inch Pictus cat,but just recently my Midas has stopped backing down(is the king getting over thrown??)In my 55 gal tank my 2 inch Albino Oscar is showing signs of over yaking my 3 inch Orange Pike!!!(If it gets worse the O will meet Mr Midas!!)

I named him Leo, because he was the self-proclaimed king of the tank. In the overcrowded 55 gallon tank they came in, he would herd the four oscars and the other pacu into one corner. Leonardo de Fishio, as we now call him, should have been a dog. He would have made a great herding dog. After he eats, he gets really rambunctious and chases Adonis, the other pacu around. We don't have to be in the room to know when he's playing "Grab ***", because the tsunami waves he generates make a slosh slosh sound when they hit the overflow box.
