Convicts breed like crazy. Mine would spit out 200-300 every month and a half.
Marbled crays are another alternative.(depending on your location)

Yes, a young pair may only put out 40-50
Second or third breeding, 120 to 150
But a mature, Well fed pair, Can put out well over 200.
Mine will have pinks, Calicos, And black and whites, All in the same batch.
In the 3rd pic, Three different colored fry About 150 in the shot,
That's not including what else is in the pot, Behind the pot, And outside the picture.
These pics were taken with a cell phone. So if the fry were moving, They blur a little.

In a month, 1/2 - 3/4"? Never measured them.
I just switched over to marbled crayfish. We'll see
how well they produce.
