yea i notice that they are diffrent water temps and stuffs i just dont have a tank with a heater to keep em me mum came home with em for my lil nephew thinking i had something and i had nada and i kind of figure they would cause how big their mouths are and how crazy they get when feeding themRequirements are different for both fish anyway, so I wouldn't stock together. But if done, I'd say yes absolutely goldfish will take any opportunity they get
thanks for the info ...good to know crazy fishIn my pond my goldfish would spawn many times throughout the spring and summer.
If only 25 out of thousands of eggs and fry survive the summer, that would be alot.
The koi and goldfish were constantly eating their own young, so shrimp and neons would be no exception.
thanks for the info...yea i was worried that they might wanted warmer waters my rang from 65-72 depending on outdoor temps but they seem fine cause i didnt know what else i could do on shush a short noticeGoldfish probably won't actively seek them out as food, but as said, anything that gets sucked in and stays in, is a goner.
One thing about Neon tetras that most folks get wrong is, they do much better in cooler water temperatures. 67-72F is ideal for neons, so they've got that going for them w/ goldfish. Cardinal tetras on the other hand prefer warmer tropical temps.
FWIW, I've got some platys in with my (indoor) goldfish. That tank runs anywhere from 67-80 depending on the season.
