Would like some info on Golden Nugget andSunshine Pleco's......

Would like to add a few more plec's to my 150g. Have a pair of BN's. Would like to add L81 (nugget) and L14 (sunshine) pleco. Ive heard that they are terribly fragile and not very hardy, though not sure where I even heard that. Id rather hear from those who have these guys as opposed to checking the pleco thread. Thanks....
 
The smaller they are the more delicate they are. Good luck on the gold nuggets all you can find with them is smaller ones. Goldies you can find at a decent size tho pretty much anytime. Have patience too they are slow growers! As far as being hard to care for goldies are awesome for me and it is the gold nuggets that seem to be the challenge for me they dont seem to be to hardly in my experiences
 
Sounds to me Goldies are the way to go. Ive heard this from several people. Gonna start tryin to hunt one down. If you have suggestions as where to get 'em let me know, please.
 
In my experience as In2 already said, the bigger they are the more stable they will be and easier to care for, i have not seen gold nugget that are bigger than 5". Also L177 seem to be hardier than L18, and I think L177 are much nicer color.
BTW, goldies L14 will be more expensive than gold nuggets.

L-14 and nuggets are the safe bets
my L-14 has a damage spine when it was less 2" and now its 7"
 
hate to ask but OP do you still have your tanks? I just noticed your location.
 
goldy is the safer bet. ive lost a couple of gold nuggets to internal parasites. if your still looking for a goldy hit up dung from exotic aquatics. he is on the vendor forums. i know he either got some in or is expecting some in this week.
