how big is the tank? big enough for a butti not a front? and do not want to put fronts with Mbuna... they drive the fronts nuts... my bumble bee is always black... he is about 4 and 1/2 inches with out tail and still growing... king of the tank...

Well, I dont think it would even be big enough for the butti long term, It's just a 55 gallon standard, 12'' width. And if I were to get a Front, I would get a 180 or larger and get a male and 3 females, thats why I dont have a big enough tank for a front.

Yeah sorry dude, Haha, I was getting the thread of track. If I were you, I wouldnt get just one Bumblebee, get ATLEAST 1 male and 2 females, thats what I have in my 55g with two blue zebras and two yellow labs, aswell as two large plecos. I have noticed agression, but no split fins or any harm has been done to any of the fish, and the Bumblebees have even spawned a few times for me.

Kenyi have been known to be extremely aggressive. They get about 4 and a half inches max.

My Kenyi is just like my Bumblebee. He doesn't touch any of my fish and shows no signs of aggression.

you have amazing luck. I had to take my kenyi out of the 55. It killed a few fish. After I took it out all my fish came out of hiding. I know many who have gotten rid of their kenyi for the same reason...

Tarheels910 tell me, how do your fish not get killed by your auratus because i wanted one but thought it was to aggressive
I have a female in one 55 and a male in the other. None of my fish seem to be aggressive. I guess im just lucky.

So do you think i would be able to keep the bumblebee in there for his whole life, i want to purchase him as a baby any advice, ive heard i need to overcrowd the tank, but i really want a bumble bee, also what is a species tank?

A species tank is when all your fish are of the same species. Preferably 1 male to every 3-4 females. Species tanks IMO will give you more activity, breeding, color, etc.
