Would love your opinions before buying new Golden Cross Back

Overall its a nice catch. Well balanced body and finnage.

There is 1 arowana farm, strive to preserve malaysia golden arowana gene. I highly recommend anyone who likes to know more about Malaysian Golden aro by checking them out at:

Appreciate your comments Doddie -- she (or he) wasn't cheap but also wasn't top dollar, so given your comments I'm happy to hear that she has at least a bit of potential if I do a good job of keeping her.

I wanted to buy a fish locally and not have to deal with cost/stress on fish of international shipping, so went with Qian Hu as they have a farm here in Thailand (with their fish presumably coming from the well-established genes of Aros from their Singaporean farm).

But Thx too for sharing the link, they've got some beauties! Also there's some great info about Aros on the site esp. for newer Arowana owners like myself.

Yes Qian Hu is a well established Aro company in SG. You can rest assure you are getting the real deal. From the video you have posted, my guess is your newly acquired aro is a 24k golden aro, but I might be wrong. It is because your fish is swimming in white tank.

Try to keep your aro in a white tank, until it is at a good size of 16 - 18 inches, order to keep its shine level at 5 or cross its back. Once it reaches maturity, the shine will not drop easily if you move your fish to a blue/black color background tank.

I have seen young golden aros, fully crossed back, once moved to black tank, the shine dropped to 4th level within 2 months. Thats sad for any golden aro keeper.
