I saw one of those in another post but I’m still not convinced it’s a fire eel. The tail is a different shape than a fire eel. The fires have one continuous fin and this one looks to have a separate tail fin.

How much do these sell for?i have a chance to get one from my importer but i feel like they are asking alot.
Fortunately these 'xanthic' fire eels have gone down in price! The first ones available were in the thousands... now you can get them in the 3-500 range but please take note as none of the ones from the first few batches (that I'm aware of) ever ate.

So is this really a fire eel or not? No one can really confirm.

The tail is different from a standard fire eel
