xenacanth9 xenacanth9 I like the idea and commend you for the effort you plan on putting into this.
One thing you may want to consider.
Posting links to where to buy can be dicey in that there are a lot of scam sites for fish sale and posting links implies that you are endorsing or saying it’s okay to buy from this or that website.
Just a thought.
Following the thread though.

I am aware. Thank you for your concern.
However, I do trust this site, and some others in particular. I know people personally who have had good experiences with them. I only plan on linking sites that either I, personally, and/or people who I trust also trust.
I do appreciate you bringing that up, however. Thank you for following the thread

Indian Zebra Blenny
Omobranchus zebra

Size: 3.5"
pH: 7.0-8.5
Tank size: 20G/Individual
Country of origin: Bengal
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Occasionally territorial
Temperature: 75-80° F
sg: 1.000-1.015

Description

Omobranchus zebra is one of the few blenny species known to live in freshwater conditions. There are only but a few other blennies known to inhabit freshwater, most of which I will likely cover within the next year. Despite often being found in freshwater, a small amount of salt could still potentially be beneficial. These fish make a very unique centerpiece bottom-dweller. I find that gobies and blennies are often taken for granted as shy bottom-dwellers that hide around all the time. Many, based on my personal observations, are actually rather flamboyant and charismatic.

DAY 3

Snub-Nosed Payara
Cynodon gibbus

Size: 7" (Captive) - 12" (Wild)
pH: 6.5-7.5
Tank size: 75G/1 small group (Captive) | 150G/1 small group (Wild)
Country of origin: Colombia
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Peaceful towards larger fish, though very predatory
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Cynodon gibbus is not your typical payara. While the vast majority of payara species in the trade reach ≥1' in length when kept in captivity (even larger in the wild), this species often only reaches lengths of about half that. By many standards, these are essentially a dwarf version of larger payaras. Aside from the size of this fish, they have very similar care requirements to their larger relatives in terms of diet, temperature, etc. These fish appear to be rather inexpensive in stark contrast to their scarce availability.
