Yabbies with Cichlids

We catch tons of Blue Yabbies at the local dam, can I put one in with my 12" Red Devil pair ? I would get a large one say 150mm-170mm so the devil cant swallow it whole.

Any one kept Yabbies with there cichlids ?
what do they eat ?
Ive got a sweet peice of Mangrove root for it to shelter in also.

nice tank what size, i'd give it a go, worst that can happen is the yabbie dies...

will the yabbies nip the fins ?

More than likely the devil will rip up on the yabbies ass, thought it might be a good experiment as the yabbies are electric blue and are great cleaning crew.

yea just go for it....i got a red colored yabbie and he's with cichlids and catfishes and others...he's really a feeder for my puffer when the puffer grows more...
