Zig zag eels

brine shrimp might work, but iw ould feed them live blackworms. frozen bloodworms just arent enough imo, shaved fish peices also worked well for me as did nightcrawlers finely chopped ( but it VERY messy ). i would feed this at least the first few weeks, as most spineys are starved/starving in lfs. zigzags though also will occasionally take pellets much easier. i would try some NLS thera a or the cichlid pellets, sinking and as small as you can find. they are very finicky eaters so any cheap food wont work.

Sorry but what is NLS? also, are blackworms the larvae of mosquitos? I don't want to wake up and find mosquitos all over my house.

New Life Spectrum. Best whole fish pelletized food imo. Omega1 is good to. Idk what blackworms are. Note that there's a floating and sinking variety. Check that first. I made that mistake and bought floating. Its all natural food. The 'whole' part is vital to the formula otherwise its just ground bones and trimmings. Also nls 'small' pellet size is very very small. Like fry food small.

Well that means I can't give them live blackworms. Would they eat daphnia? I also might try to wean the eels on to sinking hikari carnivore pellets. Would be easier than going to my LFS and buying frozen food every week.
