Finally got myself an Odoe, a big one!

She is a chunk. Is she mild mannered?
To be completely honest I've never seen any aggression from her at all, quite the opposite actually she's a bit of a wimp.

I was baby sitting a friend's HBRTG arowana some months ago, the Aro was smaller than the odoe by some degree.
All was well for a few weeks I'd say and then once the Aro found its feet it started to knock hell out of the odoe, scales damaged and torn tail. The odoe never retaliated that I saw.
Pissed me off so the Aro got shifted out asap.

She's quite selective when feeding also, doesn't usually charge food when it hits the water, tends to hang back a moment or two before Striking. I think the geos kinda spook her a bit because if they are near the tiger prawns, her main food stuffed with carni pellets, the odoe won't eat. Seems to need a clear run to feel that striking the food is achievable.

She eats earth worms as well from time to time.

Great fish, I can't wait to get her in the pond once it eventfully gets built and give her much more room to fly about.
