I've put an ID thread a while back in 2015 without getting anywhere. Due to the poly being so white colored in a pfs tan. Sold as a Polypterus sp. Faranah. So, I've been just calling it a Faranah or Faranah Dabola.
* Headshape is very wide and round at the mouth. Closest would be similar to an ansorgii. Take a looked how round and wide the mouth is on my over the tank photo.
* Color tone is white like a Congi, but
with gray tones.
* It's got Guinean Lap type center line w/dots. With very faint racing type lines in the front. Just as all the nigerian/guinea complex have.
* koliba/Koloton dotted patterns along the belly.
So, what do u think it resembles? Anybody seen anything similar to this? Faranah full or broken stripe variant?
I personally have looked and unable to find a good cross reference. Only conclusion is an 'undescribed specie' unless someone here has an idea. Thxs
