Posting some tips on keeping trevally.
When small get them on pellets. Floating pellets because they are surface feeders. I fed Hikari Carni Sticks. They poop a lot and in clouds as opposed to chunks. Pellets help maintain water quality to help the little guys pass their baby stage.
Once 5"-6" they become very active and eat a lot more. I supplement with cut fish like smelt, market prawn with shell, baby octopus. I get wet everytime during feeding.
At this point, I do water change twice a week due to the fish load and heavy feeding. The largest trevally to-date in the group of 11 is 10". They still appear to be fine in brackish water.
haha.....I think that scared heck out of the shark. I know the feeling.
This is the exact scene from my tank. Pellets jump and get stuck under the tank lid. What a mess!
I'll try to do a feeding video. Should be fun.
