Yes, those are ones you are in rolls. Great to layer on drip trays and cut able patterns. I just use the loose ones in a bag. About $3- $4 per bag as shown. This is what I place in my baskets for my fx5 canister.

thanks for the picture. can this be added to a HOB filter? how?

Also anyone else think it's ironic that it's called "poly fil" tehe.

it's pretty ****ty right now but i'll show it lol
i use an overhead trickle filter. i bought 3 layers of it but i put the box of an old top filter on it so it kinda becomes 4 layers.

i put the polyester in the black box so it becomes my fine mechanical. then course mechanical on the 2nd and 3rd layer and biological filter on the bottom layer. im thinking i should replace the 3rd layer with more biological media

im gonna get another 4 layer set and i plan to place it on the space on the red circle

wow. I've never seen a filter like that before. Looks pretty intricate.

it's really simple actually. 'rain bars' just trickle water from the pump into the top most layers, so the water goes through fine mechanical media first, then to course mechanical media and then finally trickles down to your biological media and then to the water

i just added another set. just need to fill them up with more media
