that's true.....there's a reason his pond doesn't seem to have any panfish in it anymore, but it used to before the catfish joined

Put a cichlid in there that's pellet fed,then feed only pellets,the sunfish will quickly realize the pellets are food.
LOL Dude, i'm not putting my prized cichlids in w/ those fithy sunfish. God knows what type of pathogens they get from PA-waters
I've found wild fish usually have less sicknesses than store bought,but ok,it's up to you.
well, it's done. I fattened everyone up on clams and tilaipia last night and took them to my friend's pond 1st thing this morning. I'm not diggin' the natives anymore as pets, and at this point I needed the space to move one of my 55g tanks because I needed THAT space for one of my new 75g but the will be another 75G coming soon and I still have to figure out where to put that one.
By May or so I will be back to running a bait tank for Flatheads/Musky/Pike/Stripers but aside from that I'm sterilizing the filters and using them for some extra filtration on my cichlid tanks
