I'm not sure about captive bred fish but I would catch these all the time in brazil and a trick we would to get them eating in the tanks at home was introducing the fish in water at around 70-72 degrees and after about 2-3 days when they've settled in a bit slowly start raising the tempreture to 78-80, so after about 5 days they would be eating like pigs pretty consistently. Again I'm not sure how this will work for other users since we used this trick to acclimate wild caught fish into aquariums.
