woah , it took me way to long to read this thread.

My brothers joke about building me a pool and throwing all my fish in so I only have to do one big water change, I laugh and try to tell them goldfish cant live with kuhli loaches, and convicts cant live with bettas, but seriously since I was a little girl and before that, Ive allways wanted an ocean (the size of a pool) of my own so I could make sure there were no oil spills and wear a metal shark net thing and swim all day with my fish..

Thanks for the reply. My pemas always say feed me........... I've got 3 babies and of course they are my favorite fish. They've grown more than 12 inches since September. There names are Nemisis 2, Quaquar and Sedna.

if you put monster fish.. like baracuda or pirahna or whatever that has teeth that goes more than 1/2 inch you feed them chicken.. live one!

I been a monster fish hobbiest for 25 yrs. and your tank make me feel that im a newbie at this....simply amazing !!!! anyway master arapaimag i have 8ft by 4 ft pond about 2 ft deep been wanting to keep an arapaima ( only one ) do you think think this pond is enough? i have keep lots of monster thru the yrs but an arapaima, for me would be the ultimate...

Your pema will only be able to live in your 500 gallon pond for about 2-3 years before you will need to build a bigger one.

that what im afraid you ll say..... that the reason i m reluctant to get an pema... no space for another pond.... but thanks i enjoy viewing ur thread and that tank of urs is out of this world !!! more power ! you have a fan here !!!
