Building My 50,000 Gallon Monster Mega Tank

what type of fish do you have in there? That is amazing! And must have taken a lot of time and effort to do that! Did you need a permit to build it?

I've had many types of fish in the tank. I will make a complete list in the future.
I did need a building permit. As well I had to have an engineer give a complete review, inspection and analysis. Regular building inspector approvals. Also electrical and taxation department visits and inspections.

arapaimag if you dont mind me asking , how much does your water bill costs??

The cost isn't the water its the electricity to pump it and the oil to heat it.
I live in the country.

The most I've paid is $1,200 a month for hydro and $1,200 for oil.

You had to get building permits? I hope you never plan to move. I can imagine that most potential buyers would not share the same enthusiasm. Having said that, how much do you want for your house? Also, you should definitely see my thread on addiction. You are the epitome. That's AWESOME.

arapaimag, I read your first post then skimmed the thread so if this was already talked about in depth dont bother.

What do you do for lighting? How would you change bulbs? How often did the 500W halogens burn out? Is humidity a problem with the electrical fixtures?
