I'd like to setup something like this, but my DIY skills are non-existent.

Does anyone know if chloramine is just in America? I seem to recall it's a US thing, and in Europe they only use chlorine.

if you want to put a little more money into it, they do make filters to remove chloramine.

Pretty cool setup. I did the basics with a whole-house filter. I installed an extra feed line to my fish bldg deepsink, ran 1/4" line to the filter, and the filtered water goes through a float switch into a 400gal storage tank. I ran 1" PVC lines throughout the fish rooms with standard 3/4" garden hose spigots at several places along the pipes. I also installed 1/4" lines to mainfold ports installed in the PVC to individual float switches in all the wet/dry filter sumps. I still have to manually remove water from the tanks. But, since this occurs when I perform gravel washes, it's no big deal.

Ok I give.

I bought a couple of chloramine filters for my RO/DI, and will be converting it from RO/DI to just a few filter stages. Also bought a 10 pack of drip emitters. I was basicaly all set-up for this system anyway, I guess I can get rid of my top-off system now...

make sure the pressure isnt too high for the emitters. They should have the pressure rating on the package. Other than that it sounds like you've got all bases covered!!
be sure to make a thread and share your system.

heres a drip system water change calculater for you all

This is a good caculator but it dosen't show what happens in the real world.

My 265 is changing 71% a week by the calculator. The tank has a lot better water quality with it dripping 71% then if you did 71% weekly water changes. (I used to do a 75% water change every week)

This tank is WAY overstocked. I have at least 45 cichlids in it and most of them are 6" to 14" and it tests less then 20 nitrates.
