Just found this thread now. Not sure how I missed it.
Great tank Egon. I haven't read the entire thread yet, but I will.

Don't mind at all Check out my 360 thread for a deep tank background project. I also added a drip system to that tank and the drain line T's into this tanks drain. All that nasty fish water goes out to my yard and the plants love it! Super easy to add another tank this way........ if ya ever "monster" size your fish room.Read every page up until this point.
If you don't mind, I will be using this thread as a guide to my first monster tank build.

This tank is acrylic. So now my thread you commented on brings me back to your thread to ask you, does your tank have trim around it? I think I saw trim at the bottom, but not the top. Some of the guys are telling me that the one I picked up not having it could be 'a problem'
Thank you! The best part of the filtering on this tank is the trickle system. It has been such a pleasant surprise how easy and effective this system is. Originally I set the tank up thinking I wanted an easy way to drain it for water changes and recycle the water so I put in a 1.5" line out to the yard. The trees love the fishy water. The whole tank drains in 5 min lol I didn't realize how much water a 1.5 inch line could move! Then I figured I would just run a water line to the top of the tank for easy refilling. Basically the trickle system was set up and I didn't know it lol. After overfilling the tank a couple time because I have zero attention span and forgot that I was refilling I worked out the trickle and never looked back! The fish have grown huge! So I have slightly increased the flow over the years. I started at about 1 gallon an hour and now I'm up to about two gallons an hour.nice tank
I like you filter system the most
very creative work you have done
