Thank you! The best part of the filtering on this tank is the trickle system. It has been such a pleasant surprise how easy and effective this system is. Originally I set the tank up thinking I wanted an easy way to drain it for water changes and recycle the water so I put in a 1.5" line out to the yard. The trees love the fishy water. The whole tank drains in 5 min lol I didn't realize how much water a 1.5 inch line could move! Then I figured I would just run a water line to the top of the tank for easy refilling. Basically the trickle system was set up and I didn't know it lol. After overfilling the tank a couple time because I have zero attention span and forgot that I was refilling I worked out the trickle and never looked back! The fish have grown huge! So I have slightly increased the flow over the years. I started at about 1 gallon an hour and now I'm up to about two gallons an hour.
Check out my Niger cats growth:
LMFAO! People really have no idea how shocking it is to see this guy waiting at the front of the tank when you flip the light on in a dark room...kinda scary!
