Mine was so happy tonight, he was already fed his normal food this morning but my work happened to be throwing away a bunch of shrimp (shells on). Guess he has some snacks for a long while! I'll fatten him up for the winter perhaps :) My woman doesnt mind, so long as I am the one taking care of him.

Some Cool Plant Info and Research:

First up is a website with a study from sciencedaily which through tests in a controlled environment showed that the canna plant can remove up to
98.7% Nitrate and 91.8% Phosphate!
Thats a huge amount if your a fish keeper. Though these plants can grow tall, so I guess regular pruning would be required and they also produce beautiful flowers.

Next up is an article about water mint and other wetland plants. However the portion that was most interristing to me is the table that shows that this plant can reduce harmful bacteria like E.coli, Enteroccocci and Salmonella by 90%, just by 2 hours of contact with the affected water.

Lastly just a link to Wikipedia that claims that peace lilies can remove toxins like benzene and formaldehyde from the air. Apparantly all that is needed is one plant per 10m². So not only can it clean your fishes environment but also the fish keepers environment :D.

Just shows plants are amazing organisms :).

 I am going to do a monster setup like soon in addition to my drip system starting with my 300 gallon then on up from there. Should I add it in here ITHURTZ or start a new thread? I'll let you decide since you have contributed far more to this thread than I have.
