Jk post it up when you can, I am sure we can all learn something. I have a awesome idea but I need to buy a house first with a basement, or with a concrete floor, then that involves sky lights so I dont have to run 500watts of lighting 
I think to solve my current running out of room situation I am just gonna build twin 12"x5.5" containers and have it sit 10ish" above the tank. I am really to lazy to build a shelf system all over the wall.

A little scared as I type this. 160 behind me, 75 next to me and a 30 7' to my left. All in a 8x10 room
I put a 8' beam under the 160 last weekend which is about 7' from the exterior wall, and about 4' from the steel beam. I am gonna feel MUCH better going under there again and putting another beam inbetween the exterior wall and 1st beam. This time I think I will buy some hydraulic jacks instead if 4x4. ANYWAY get to the point ithurtz blah blah. Put the painted turtles in the snappers 30gallon and gave him a 75 gallon, which sits 2" from me and directly in front of the 160 on a L. Its almost halfway I ran out of balls haha. SO the painted turtles got his pothos so that just means I went out and bought more HAHAHAHA. I got 2 plants, dunno If both are going to the snapper yet or not. He doesnt really need 2 plants, where as my main tank would benefit a GREAT deal from it. What I would like to do is take a 5 or 10 gallon (already have the 10) Drill a hole into the side and kinda have a "above tank sump" and place the plant in there. Filter and see roots all in one! Thats something later on, I have to secure the floor before I cant sleep at night. On a side note the hallway is solid!

On a side note sh@t! My main tanks plant holder is leaking alot grrrrrrrrrr.

I actually just started keeping actual aquarium plants.. eh, this is my second round, and so far so good. 
I was thinking I could try this in my 30 gallon once I put my FH in there, but he's soo picky that I can't chance not having a filter on him. He gets grumpy when things don't go his way... So.. not too sure.
I would do it with my 72 planted tank, but I think I would have a lot of dead plant matter on the bottom of my tank from the actual aquarium plants themselves that my filter currently picks up.
BUT!!! I could do a small 10 gallon or something, and finally start my shrimp tank.

It Hurtz, great choice of plant! Here is one that I bought for 2$ @ Lowes I just basicly cut the rootball off and dropped all the clippings in the tank.
It's starting to look like a mangrove in there. Haven't had any real type of bioload in the tank yet so this is very modest growth.

Aqua you put the leaves in the water as well? If so thats a no no!
No one said you didnt HAVE to run no filter. I use sponge filter in the main tank for the debri. You can keep a canister/hob/sump the plants will just limit bacteria growth as the plants consume the cycle.

yeah I did, why is it a No No? Every time a leaf dies the snails and shrimp devour it.
Pic above is a growing, breathing, living "pothos" that is fully immersed in my tank. there has been no massive dieoff of leaves (maybe one per month) and they are fully consumed by all when it does happen. Thats why we need threads like this. I like to think of fishkeeping as our next great technology. there are so many boundaries to push, So many cures for ailments found within the aquarium, So many ways to establish modes of Sustainibility.
The future is the only crazy thing to wonder about. 20 years ago what we do today was unheard of. 20 years from now you might have a self sustaining aquarium where you do nothing. Who knows
ANd no pothos will not thrive under water. The roots and stems can say submerged forever but the leaves MUST remain above water or they will die off. If your losing even one leaf a month thats to many. I dont lose any. Google "Pothos submerged". You will see ALOT of people doing it and/or asking about it. The end result is THEY DIE. Just because it doesnt die off really fast doesnt mean its working. I bet you my business I am right
