Do these turtles need a basking spot outside the water? Loggerhead musk turtle, Snake neck turtles.

Can anyone give me a list of turtles that definitely DON'T need a basking spot, and don't need to bask?

Thanks

FRT are the best bet if ya can find one at a reasonable price. Most species of snappers are ok also

They still need a UVB source, though, and a heat source.

Fly river turtle, and I would guess Mata Mata wouldn't either.

Those were the two I knew, was looking for less pricey options.

Snappers are out, looking to put it with fish. It would be great if I could somehow find a FRT for $200 or less.

My Muskturtle is doing fine without a Basking spot. Havent seen him try to get out of the water once

I knew musks didn't need a UVB but he's really doing good without basking? Whats your setup like?

here is your answer a turtle that will not harm your fish, is not pricey, and does not bask..............does not exist, sorry.

Well an Frt wouldn't harm your fish. Musk turtles if they don't need a light could also work. But once agian FRTs are very pricey.
