Nice setup. I like the stand choice.

You should have painted the back. Then you don't have to hide hoses and electrical wires.

looking great... little tip, i always suck the water through the intake from the output piping to get my canister going. Works like a charm, however your circumstances may have been a little different. Good luck with everything!
Thanks for the input, I had trouble getting going on the other tank whilst it was cycling, the thing I've found with this filter is once you get it going because you can lock the valves and remove the filter once it primed it's primed as the pipework section comes off.

Man!! That tank is sexy. My wife won't let me have just one more. Guess 25 is it

25/26 she'd never notice;)

I know but I hate 'that' look, personal taste I guess, all my other tanks are see through, plus when I add another ton of plants you'll never notice.

24 hours in update:

I can't fault the filter, well yes I can, the E-mech or what every the Germans call it is really really good(normal fish keepers call it filter floss). When I had it on the other tank all of a sudden the flow rate dropped over night, so I replaced that sheet and it went back to normal, the trouble is this stuff can't be cleaned. With the waste from the gravel plus the 10 buckets of pure waste from the other tanks yesterday, it's taken the lot out in 24 hours and clogged. I was expecting this but I'll need to see how it goes in the long run, I bought a 4 pack of the stuff as replacements but if it carries on like this then it will be changed to normal filter floss.. which can be cleaned!

Replaced it today and the filter fired first time due to the valve thing mentioned above.

I still wasn't sure about using a thermo filter as it's designed to maintain water temp as opposed to heating it, it without trouble has taken the water over 10c in a day.

Apart from that all is well, the clarity has increased by about 100%. Test tomorrow and then the pleco from next door goes in Thursday. Not really a tester fish as it is bullet proof. If that goes well the aro goes in Sunday.

Pics tomorrow, thanks for the replies and feedback

It looks class, i like the simple looking stands as the don't detract from the actual tank.
I'm looking forward to the completion.

Cheers DiXoN, thanks for the comments.

Either side of the tank and a full tank shot, plus the filter. One more day to go then the bullet proof pleco goes in and then Arnie the aro gets his new home one Sunday...

Glass needs a clean already, you can still see the suction marks where it was moved, plus I still need a load more fake plants and wood, I'm starting to like the floating wood, it'll be a shame when it sinks:
