I believe the botia above is dyed, blue pigment is too consistent throughout. The botia below is not dyed.

I stand corrected. The ones I had were more like the middle pic that is not dyed. Thank you! Either way, when they get bigger, nothing but ugly!

Stickies means pinned or stickied threads. They are appear at the top of the forum sections.

They don't have to be dipped into an acid bath to retain the color...my aunt breeds parrots, and dyes them...she just adds food coloring to the tank, and after a week of 10% daily water changes and adding more water/food coloring the fish come out with a slight tint....and she sells them to kids around her neighborhood... 'Jelly Bean' parrotfish
