ya I use to go out late at night here and catch blue Gill, Catfish, Large mouth bass, Crapie and others to put in my tank, they were neat but I did miss the color of cichlids.
This started out as one of my favorite tanks. But the hyper-stocking has dropped it pretty far on my list. I'd love to see you thin out the crowd, but I understand that's probably just not your style. In any case, good luck mate.
Well, I need find what I like, what works and what doesnt. As of right now the 500 will remain the big fish, the 265 and 220 will remain the panfish, smaller fish specimens. I think I'm going to make the 220 a darter, sucker, sculpin, shiner, chub tank.
Soon as I get back I will make a vid of the 500 and 265.
Watch the crawdads. I had a few in my tank and they loved shrimp pellets that I was feeding them and then one day didn't really see them eat and soon later late one night they got a hold of my brown trout and ate it. I was pissed trout caught by net at about 5 inches is super hard. I wont keep any again soon unless I have a puffer to eat them.
