Chris very happy for you man, so nice to see your dream came true and the excitement it has brought to the hobby. These fish are truly awesome and so are the frys love the short faces and red freckles! I still almost like the females better than the males though lol they are so different from other normal Umbee females! If anyone has been out to Chris's house and seen his two large females in person than you know what I mean! I think that fact is awesome, because they color up so nicely once they get some size. I think people may finally consider just keeping females as well just for their looks instead of only males for looks, and only females for breeding. It will be fun to watch these guys spread like wildfire throughout the country and I can't wait to see update pics of them start to pop up. I hear what you're saying about the females and they don't grow as big too so less tank size issue. The bigger female Chris has is already pushing 14" so they still get big just not as big as his two close to 20" male beasts and still growing.
To all that purchased and plan to purchase, please be responsible and invest in a big tank for your future pair or show male. They make a 240 tank look small.

Yeah your right about that too. The one yellow and red female he has is so dope she could almost be like a nice center piece or show piece in a large aggressive community tank, but yeah like you said guys need to make sure they have large tanks for these fish
so check it Frisco has a pretty nice looking Rio Mag female for sale here (nice freckling for a female) but when putting this normal female next to one of Chris's Black Umbee females they just don't hold a candle to them

Amazing to see these guys like everyone said the female was insane colors but also King kongs power and just straight MONSTER attitude personality left me wanting a pair.

The Females are simply stunning! I cant even tell you which I enjoy watching more, the big black males or the beautiful females showing of there reds. They are amazing

Very nice. I remember watching the video of the parents on YouTube a while back. Its good to see this varient is getting out to everybody so it can thrive in the hobby. If only I had another tank!
