This is why I've always wanted to keep one. I always thought they were a handsome fish. Almost as if the adults wearing a fish tux. lol

ok at first i was like "wth i didn't remember posting this" lol whatever. Im kinda having a hard time understanding this thread though? is it about paraiba catfish???
Not filamentosum, platynemum. These are fishes that get up to a max of about 5' long and behave like juruense cats. They're, obviously, related to piraibas but don't get nearly as big.

Also known as a slobbering catfish, and use to be Goslinea platynemum if that helps any. It was put into the Brachyplatystoma family back in 2005 if I am remembering correctly. Much smaller as an adult than a piraiba. Here's the planet catfish link if you'd like to know more. This is one sweet fish that I got to get sometime in the future. :)

well i'mtrying my luck with this species again she's im my 70g cube right nowso won't be eaten by any of the cichla in the 240 just got her yesterday at about 9" not in very good shape unfortunately extremely malnourished (for now ;D)
